Pilot Test Results 9-13-10

We got the numerical results from the Pilot Tests that we took last week. As somewhat expected I did very poorly on both tests. The first test was on structural mechanics and the second was on earthquake engineering. I actually got some points on the earthquake engineering test even though I have not taken any earthquake engineering classes. I probably should have done better on the structural mechanics test but then again I haven’t been in school for a year and I couldn’t remember some of the formulae. Some of the stuff on the structural mechanics test I haven’t done either, like tensors. Some of the questions on the tests were very broad so it was a little difficult to know what they were looking for. The professors have given us a couple of PowerPoint presentations in pdf form to use to review and study the things we didn’t know on the tests.
